As I wrote on another of your friend's pages ... What is conversion to Islam? Islam is submission, willing slavery to our Loving Maker. If you want this, then you area convert already. Shahada in the masjid? Your body is a a masjid, your house is a masjid, the cosmos is masjid, all systems are a masjid, so bow to the Beloved in all you do, and you are already converted. What is the best of conversions? The conversion from Deen (judgement and logic) on the left to Love and Compassion on the right. That's the meaning of the journey. May blessings be upon you that you might take that journey! (And feel free to check the Tailor's Doctrine for more information!)

I must say that i was born in the western civilization but never felt as if i belonged here. This is the first time that i have ever accepted any religion (way of life)with the help of my helpmate. I would also like to say that the journey is a very challenging one and it will take much discipline. You state that you have 2 friends and it seems as if they are not much help in guiding you. do you have a kitab/quran, and how often do you read the teachings. are you familiar with salats and or rakahs. and how often do you pray. i must say this that if you are serious about your journey and faith with ALLAH you will have to cast your friends aside for a minute and truely find yourself. you can become distracted by individuals that were born and raised in Islam. You will have to find a comfortable medium between you and almighty Allah. and you will come out on top. and please dont make it seem as if living the wester life has made it hard for you. it is hard for me now to get people to understand that we to as Americans take Allah serious and not all of us are corrupt.
