My name is Carol. I am 61 years old and newly retired from
public education. My husband has multiple health issues. We
have been married for 38 years. We have five children grown sons
and one grandchild. I love yoga, knitting, reading, and watching
some reality TV shows. I currently work part time from home doing
medical transcription. My passion is knitting and belong to a
Prayer Shawl ministry at my church. This has helped me so very
much in dealing iwth my stress as well as helping others cope with
theirs. I would love to correspond with other knitters or
crocheters that share my passion.
I joined
this community because I would like to meet and get to know some new
friends. Since we will not be able to travel and do some of the
things others do due to husband's illness, I would enjoy meeting people
on the internet. I am especially interested in chatting
with people who are interesting in discussing their spiritual
journey.
Hello everyone. I am so glad to have the ability to talk and share with each other. I have had some difficult times in the past 3 years. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. I moved in with my 2 daughters in order to help my mom take care of him. I am a nurse and my dad had gotten to the point that my mom needed help. I am so grateful for those 2 years before he died. I was a Daddy's Girl all my life and I miss him so much. I do know that he is with God as he was a very loving man. We have continued to stay with my mom since she is 84 years old and she is quite unsteady at times. What a great gift God has given to me, not only because of my 5 daughters but also for the love of my parents. Hope to hear from ya'll. Prayers for all, Love, Melanie
