I thought it would be nice for people who have a book in them to have a place where they could come and get advice from others, kind of like a virtual writer's group. I know there are many out there, but I know a lot of Religious writer's in particular are told there stuff won't sell - this is absolutely not true. Religious writing is on the upsurge and it's a great place to be. I also think it would be cool for people from all genres to have somewhere reasonable safe to hear about their options, learn hos to network and find a place for civil debate about various kinds of publishing, the pros and cons - and to find out about scams, etc. I've been selling books for 20 years, so I can tell you from that angle, also there are a lot of other writer's out there who have been through the mill and can give you their feed back.

Well what can I say. I wish I knew you in April when my publisher was being paid a lot of my hard earned money. They have professional marketing agents whose jobs to to promote their services in their own interest. Now that my book is published, I stand alone with so many unsold copies. they dont even call to see how everything is going. Regrets? yes. Having a book out there, No regrets. Amafirstlady2 |

I'm am currently waiting to hear back from the last round of agents that I queried about my novel. I also just queried a publisher directly about first children's book, and am holding my breath on that one. I began my 2nd novel about two weeks ago, but have gotten bogged down in work, family, and church responsibilities. I'm antsy to get things rolling again.
