Buddha/God

Buddha is the Mind that Realizes God.

371d36d75e05eda735858f8e467be99cIf God has no form, then the Mind that realizes God has form. If God has form, than the Mind that realizes God has no form. If we create no graven image because God has no form, shall we create an image to represent the Mind that realizes God?

Liberation

"To study the Way is to study the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be enlightened by all things of the universe. To be enlightened by all things of the universe is to cast off the body and mind of the self as well as those of others. Even the traces of enlightenment are wiped out, and life with traceless enlightenment goes on forever and ever."

"Fifty-four years lighting up the sky.
A quivering leap smashes a billion worlds.
Hah!
Entire body looks for nothing.
Living, I plunge into Yellow Springs."

Dogen Zenji

Love Alternate Reality So the Buddha sat under the bodhi tree and suddenly he became enlightened. He said, "We are all made of Love. Thinking that there is something more important is the cause of all suffering." And he ran into town to tell everyone. But when he tried, people just looked at him like he was some sort of fruitcake. He then became very sad and went out and wandered the countryside. He was so depressed he forgot to eat. And then, as he wasn't looking where he was going, he fell into a ditch. Along came an old woman who gave him a bowl of rice milk. The nourishment gave him strength. She asked him what his problem was and he told her. She said, "Look, you have to get people's attention first. Remember that the people you are trying to reach are those who think that there is something more important than love. They've become highly intellectualized. So try starting out with something like, 'Nothing can be shown to exist, except in the mind, which itself lacks definite existence.', then graduate to stuff like, 'Do not believe anything just because you have been told by your teacher. Believe that which leads people to be more kind and compassionate.', and so on. Got the idea?" And the Buddha thanked her and went back to town and a year later the whole town had become enlightened.

Absolute Reality So one Buddhist is saying that there is no absolute reality and the other Buddhist says that absolute reality is the realization that there is no absolute reality, and the first Buddhist punches him and screams, "No!  You sneaky dog.  You are just trying to create absolute reality all over again!"  What to do?  Is the fact that there is no absolute reality only a form of relative truth?  Gotcha!!
