Prayers are not answered for the same reason Santa doesn't answer letters to him.

hello my dear friend in CHRIST I pray 1st of all for peace be with each of you and your precious familys. GOD never says no to any prayer. his timing is not our timing. their is no such thing as praying wrong. GODS word says to pray merciful to him for your self and all others. i certainally do agree GOD does not always answer our prayers the way we ask him to but he does answer them the way that is right for us. we must hear with our hearts. we can see with our eyes and hear with our ears but, to hear GOD speaking in that still small voice, we must listen with our hearts. always start each day with GOD. stay in his Holy word dailey for his instructions on how to live each day. if we pray 25/8, most people say 24/7 but personally i pray 25/8 meaning continually to my Holy Lord. for all people. i can attest to that GOD does and always will answer your and my prayers. we must remember when we dont get a answer especially right away, GOD is trying to get our attention. i personally walk on faith. for when our prayers are delayed it is because GOD is testing our faith. remember peter in the water and what happen when he took his eyes off of the Lord. he started to sink but was smart enough to call on JESUS for help. we know Jesus will never let us fall. even when we think we cant take any more JESUS is their to catch us every time. it is not Jesus whom lets us go, it is us to trys to fix it our selves and then thats when we mess things up. each of you are very beautiful inside and out. may our Lord always bless each of you and take care of your familys. remember to love one another as JESUS loves us. "I Love Rock And Roll" JESUS is my ROCK, and my name is on his ROLL!!. Love in CHRIST. Sandi/A Torch Bearer 4 Jesus Christ :^)

I think the key is you have to trust that God is going to provide us what we need, when we need it. Some experiences may seem negative, but each one enhances our spiritual growth. I think prayer for a specific thing, such as to be cured from a disease, isnt necessarily allowing us to trust God's intention. When we give up on trying to fix everything and have faith in gods path he has created for us, necessary healing, whether in body or mind will follow. On another note, the power of prayer is much deeper when we pray in groups. This also means possibly sharing with others our hardships. As an open person myself, I dont have a problem sharing what I am going through, but I would have to guess that the majority of people like to lead quiet private lives. Prayer circles are very powerful. If all else fails, you can always look into alternative ways of prayer, which basically means our thoughts are prayers. Check your mind and see what negative thoughts are running. Watch the movie the "Secret" or explore new thought ways to realize your intentions. Positive affirmations or visualizing a cure or condition, is supposed to reap results if done on a regular basis.

Well said, I do believe God answers prayers but it's up to us as children just learning a new book and living a new lesson each day, to understand how he answers them, the prayer might seem unanswered but yet was given in multiple ways, little by little God prepairs others to assist us in our need and or meeting of people, in events,a small but yet answered feeling of goodness and gratitude of our thoughts can produce answered hope. The questions is do we believe and enough to have patience.

Prayers may appear to go unanswered. I believe that GOD always answers our prayers but He may not answer them according to our desires. I believe He either says yes or no, much as our fathers and mothers do. He knows much better than we do whether something is good for us or right for us. He may answer immediately but the item/person/event that is the answer to our prayers may be delayed for reasons known only to Him. This is faith, to trust Him whether or not we receive an immediate answer to our prayers.

Intercessory prayer doesn't work. Praying, in the sense of meditation, can.

I totally agree, I have been praying the same pray for 7 years and it still has not been answered. Now I truly do wonder sometimes if I am praying wrong. But I do know God has his reason for it. It just hurts
