The Daily Office is wonderful. Praying the Liturgy of the Hours brought me to an understanding that there were serious problems in my marriage, that my husband had a dangerous mental illness, and that he needed help. Praying the Office gave me the strength to admit that, to seek help for us all, and to accept him completely, flaws and all. For me the LOTH provides objectivity in my prayer, forcing me to praise God when I am angry at Him, to petition Him, when I am proud, to accept His loving mercy when I feel totally unforgiveable and unloveable.
Thank you for this wonderful promotion of an important kind of prayer that laity are often left out of.
