Hello; for some years each and every day I was bothered in the area of drugs and alcohol in my life. I thought i was just stupid, stuck, couldnt get free. I went to rehabilitation Units and I went to A/A/ N/A Meetings, and i would like to say Praise the lord for those meetings do help alot of People but they just werent for me. But As I journeyed in Life i began to talk to God More and More and i began to cry out literal tears in my prayers, and ask him what was wrong with me. Why Couldnt i get this thing right? Why Couldnt I stop...As I am typing right now i can hear the lord in My Spirit say SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU..... I had to realize that getting up and calling myself an Addict everyday was doing more to hinder me than to help me... God brought me to his word and showed me 2Corinthians 5:17 Any Man/Woman that be in CHRIST is a new creature OLD things are passed away; Behold All Things Have Become new.......Here I was still verbally claiming my past and carrying it everyday instead of speaking the word of god everyday, the bible says the power of life and death are in the tongue. It is so Important that we begin to speak the word of god in our lives as we go through trials and tribulations. When I started to quote the word of God; Sometimes I Drank or still got involved with somethings but I never gave up saying i was a new creature, I never give up saying i am not a drug addict or alcoholic but i am a child of God and by his Stripes/by his bruises/ By his Blood that he shed on calvalries Cross (I AM HEALED) I am new, Satan has been defeated in my life. Picj up your word and read each day....Remember the verse in 2nd corinthians and start walking in the newness of life. Get around some bible believing christians, get involved with Study and Church....Not The Church the Building, But the word of god says we should not forsake the gathering of ourselves together, Get into the body regardless of what the Material building maybe, Ket your vessel be the building of God for we are the Church My Sister....Start telling yourself your vessel is the dwelling place of the Holy Ghost......You don't want to defile thetemple of God with a bunch of drugs and Alcohol.....No; But, feed your spirit with the word of god, Praise him in music, Bless him with your gift in art, seek him in all you do. Don't believe in the lies of the enemy when trials come, and it seems like you arent victorious, stand on the word and tell yourself, you were victorious 2000 years ago when christ suffered, bled, and died for our sins, but in that he has risen, you are victorious, for the word says grave where is thy victory, death where is your sting, those things we use to do are already conquered(in the name of Jesus) they are buried with christ when we accept him in our life. And we are walking a ressurected life in Christ, No It may not feel like it, no it may not seem like it, but because we have faith, in the lord, we walk by that faith and not by sight.... walk victorius in Christ and watch your life change..... Always believe that God can help you through everything. My favorite quote is "What God takes you to He will see you through". Get out your Bible and read from it everyday. Always begin reading by asking for God to give you the understanding for it. I started this and most of my nightmares went away. I will add you to my prayers for God to look out for you. Also, don't give up on your dreams to get more education. I went to college as a 32 year old. I am glad I waited so long because I was sure of what I wanted to be and I am very happy in the job that I got after graduation. God bless you.

Granted, the following is easier to say than to practice. But the longer one waits to get their arms around this subject the more difficult it becomes; and, the potential damage to the body, mind, spirit, and soul is greater. By reviewing your list of interests it appears that you operate primarily through "feelings", whether good or bad. One must develop a stronger intellect to over ride feelings. It is akin to having your spirit and soul (permanence) control your body and emotions (temporal). Some may call this will power or practicing self control, but it boils down to being the master of your own destiny. Do not permit your feelings (emotions) to rule your life. Practice small steps every day saying no to little things you know are not good for you. This will build your will power and confidence to say no to the bigger "demons". Also, a couple days of fasting each week might be good for you to consider. This builds will power and self control, while bringing you into closer communion with the Trinity. Also, you should probably not meditate again until you take control of certain items possible in your life for a short period of time. By so doing your meditations will not be a waste of time. In fact you will soar to new heights. Do not meditate again until you have done all of the following: 1. No drugs for 30 days 2. No tobacco for 2 weeks 3. No alcohol for 3 days Please leave a message as to how this worked for you at texcitizen@grandecom.net.

Sounds like you are on a positive path! Take one day at a time, Victoria and you will shine. As Lao-tzu said, "A journey of a 1,000 miles starts with one step."
