Jesus at the UU church todayWell miracles do happen. Jesus showed up at the UU church today. Lol, well not actually Jesus himself but a beleiver. We had a great speaker today named Elaine Sanchez who spoke on caregiving. She, probably not too familiar with us, had no problems evoking Gd and Jesus. Although I dont share all her beliefs I gained so much from her talk, and I believe, had I known she was a christian, i would probably not have gone to see her in the community. So such a blessing that she was at church. Wonderful blessing! 2010 -- A Review
Unitarian Community on Beliefnet hit the 400 member mark just a few days ago. I thank each of you for giving me the privilege of serving you. For us this has been a year of growth. Members have come and gone. Some have returned after a long absence. Oddray has been consistent in posting on a regular basis. She has been a great supporter and friend. She deserves special recognition for her efforts.
I have slowed down tremendously in my posting. Still this has been a busy year responding to e-mails and traveling to meet new people and friends. I have met with friends in Florida, Alabama, North and South Carolina, New York and several points in- between. I have met with others from Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
Visits to my personal journal page on Beliefnet are approaching the 50,000 point. The number of friends there now exceeds 750. People from all over the world have access to view our postings there and on Facebook too. Many different groups and web sites have been brought to my attention who are also promoting the ‘One’, the brother-hood of all mankind, and the need for harmony and peace.
Teachings of love, openness, and growth in understanding are spreading at a rapid pace. Even the Pope has been quoted as saying ‘There are many different acceptable ways to worship God.’ Several radio talk show hosts have said their views are Unitarian although they maintain their denomination and faith affiliations. People on the whole are no longer hiding their views. This is a vast change for the good. There are now many people and groups working independently toward the same goals. I am happy to be a small part of this movement.
Your posts and your comments, both public and private, have given me the encouragement to continue writing and sharing my views. You have provided much inspiration. I thank you again for all your encouragement and support. In October the first volume of “Reflections from the Heart” was published. The second volume is in the final editing phase. It should be ready for publication after the first of the New Year. I had hoped to have it ready this month but the editing has been extensive and taken more time than expected.
I am still working full time in an unrelated field. This gives me the funds to continue promoting the Unitarian faith. I have been fortunate to have this employment when so many are out of work. As many of you know, I am not paid for the work I do in promoting our faith. It is a work of love. I will continue to promote our faith in every way that I can for as long as I can. This is a promise I make to you. Page 1 of 9 • 1 2 3 4 5 6 ... 9 Next |
