Hi, new here. I'm looking forward to meeting some new folks and learning some new things. I write blogs based on scripture, psychology and humor, and am always looking for ways I can offer others more and be more helpful to them. Can't wait to hear some new viewpoints--and eventually maybe offer a few of my own! Leemcb |

About five or so years ago, a minister suggested that I buy a new revised Bible because several errors of fact and/or translation had been corrected. I did so, but was turned off by the stark, unfeeling language of the emended editions. I love the beauty and poetry of the King James Version. So, errors or not, I have continued to read that edition, because it speaks to my heart as well as to my head and to my soul. Does anyone know of a Bible that contains the corrections but utilizes the beauty and power of the King James Version? Yours in Peace, Quakertrucker Quakertrucker |

I believe you are correct the KJV is with out doubt the most accurate in the English. Most modern translations are not that good some are out right deceptions. Denis. DNT |

What is wrong with the King James Version of 1611. I believe it will be the version that you will be judged by at the end time. What if it is contaminated also, but it is the best that we have. St John 5;43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: (Jesus)if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. (Paul) Isaiah 14;14 and 13 (New religious movement, Elijah's Church) Elijah |

It doesn't matter to me which translation or even which religous text you use. You either see Gods tyruth or you do not. James1951 |
One VERY big problem I have with the Bible (even though I believe it contains parts of God's word is that nobody really knows how many letters and whatnot that were destroyed or purposely left out of the Bible because so-and-so didn't want to butt heads with the Emporer. Another problem that I have is time has worn away texts so that they have holes in them or will disintegrate at first touch, and some have disintegrated all together.
