Thanks a bunch for commenting, Lynn. I confess to being more familiar with the Episcopal than the Lutheran side of things, so I appreciate the clarification. It was my understanding that the "call to common mission" approved by ELCA in 1999 enabled the two "to share clergy, and fully recognize each other's members, ministries and sacraments." What does fully recognizing each other's sacraments actually mean?
