Well, it's interesting. Someone recognized a problem. And they tried to start part of a solution for that problem by opening this group: "Things Must Get Better." And nobody came. Does that mean that all Beliefnet people think that things can only get worse? I can't believe that. I can't believe that EVERYONE on Beliefnet believes that we KNOW, for certain, that the world situation, the national situation, and the personal situations of everyone in our nation are WITHOUT DOUBT going to get worse. Yes, maybe some of us are endtimers, but they're not even close to a majority. Why won't Beliefnet people come and take a stand on the questions raised by the name of this group? Admittedly, it is POSSIBLE for things to get worse. That's reasonably obvious. But we've been in that situation many times in the past, individually, nationally and globally, and things didn't get worse every single time. Have we now displeased God so much that he's now going to be down on us forever? I can't believe that. There are still many good people in the world. And God still loves all of us. Personally, I've never (by far) been in a worse situation in my life, and I'm 65. So I'd very much like to believe that "Things Must Get Better." And I'm working very hard to change things in my own life, so it's not as if I were lazing around in the sun waiting for Him to do the heavy lifting. I live in a small town in a rural area. Big cities are far away. I've been here since 1977. And I made a fine living until 2008, when the bottom fell out and we lost everything, one thing after another. For me to go out and start all over again at 65 requires using muscles that I haven't used since 1988, the last time I switched lives. It's hard, but I have to believe it's not impossible, since if it was, then I'd truly be in a bad situation. So I'm in the middle of my own ressurection, and I sure hope it works, but I can't tell yet. It would be nice to share things with other people in similar situations at any age, and from any part of the country. Or any part of the world. Think of those poor people in Greece. Not only do they have to cut their standard of living in half, they have to change their personalities too: no more cheating! Come join me! Write something here! Particularly if you or people you know are having tough times! Things are better when we're together. Come on! Let's start!

This seemed to me like a very good idea for a group. Why are there so few members? If I joined up it's because I'm really, really struggling to stay alive. I could post about that, but why hasn't anyone else done the same? Hello? Hello? Is anybody out there?

Dear Lord, Be with us all during trying times. let us remenber our place on this earth. let us remember to try to walk in Your steps with our everyday life. lift us up when we feel like falling. let us remember that You do not give us more than we can handle.
