I'm the holy whackjob that writes Beliefnet's blog BeyondBlue  (www.beliefnet.com/beyondblue).

It has been a wonderful experience for me, as well as an incredible support, because, as a manic-depressive, my moods are so volatile and I have difficulty staying grounded in what is real and important--the stuff I will care about when I die (although, yah! I'm not planning on that soon!). Everyday on Beyond Blue, my readers teach me, inspire me, and entertain me. A friend recently shared with me this quote from Martin Buber: "When two people relate to each other authentically and humanly, God is the electricity that surges between them." That is certainly true of Beyond Blue. And I hope it's true for this community, too. 

Note: I regret that I am unable to read and respond to all the personal e-mails posted here. I have to take frequent, sometimes lengthy, sanity breaks from all the chatter and information overload. However, I do read all of the comments posted in the comboxes of my blog (www.beliefnet.com/beyondblue), so by all means leave a message for me there. And I sincerely thank you for all your encouragement, kindness, and support.
