In case anyone didn't notice, I am sitting, top, upper right.
We were a group of 35 persons, from Austria and Germany, besides
the special guest, "my mom" from the USA!
The church of the Holy Sepulcher was first built by order of the Emperor Constantine the Great immediately following the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. The tomb of Jesus was discovered by the Empress Helena, mother of Constantine, after it had been revealed to her in a dream while she was on a visit to Jerusalem.
A column built into the door of the Coptic church (part of the Atrium of Constantine's Church of the Holy Sepulcher) marks the sight where Jesus fell for the third time. From this spot He could see the place of crucifixion.
"And he went a little further and fell on his face, and prayed, saying O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will but as thou wilt".
(MATTHEW 26:39)
I was fortunate to sing here in this church for one of the 4 masses during our
recent pilgrimmage. More photos, including from here are at the Guardian
Community, Guardian Angels Website.
Have a great Day and God Bless You!
