This is the ultimate experience – something we could not appreciate if we didn't first lack it. This imperfect world where we find ourselves in need of God is the only way possible to experience the joy of attaining Him.  That is why life is imperfect, but the good news is that out of need comes satisfaction, out of fear comes hope, out of loneliness comes companionship, out of hurt comes help, and out of loss comes love.

The experience is not uncommon, but the recognition of it is a special favor.  If you were to recognize the presence of God each time the presence of God was presented to you, you would be in a constant state of communion with the Creator.

If I reflect that God is attending to my personal perfection – that's overwhelming in a very nice way.  I accept this gift gratefully without understanding, without a good ability to perfect it, and without a clear means of putting it to use. I just accept it with joy.

What would I have to gain by deceiving others in His word, knowing I would lose the only thing I really value if I did so? There is a point where we must venture beyond our trust in God and on into trust in those through whom God has entrusted His vision.

The mystic will see in the very plenitude of raw nature the true meaning of God's generosity within each spirit – as vast and as actively effective as His fingerprints are from His careful molding of our Earth.

Though the Great Overseer is too glorious to gaze upon, He arranges it so that, like natural lights are reflections of a mighty sun, His essence can be sampled here on Earth for those who want to sample it. To this end He graces us with the gift of perception.

“Are you just going to give up and lie down and let God walk all over you?”  “Yeah! It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it.” The mystic still must be judged on a human scale, even as little as that opinion means to him, and of course he will come up short on the world's approval. That too is part of God's plan.

Worry has never healed a wound – healing is a function of how God made us. Everything is a function of God's plan, and everything is going to be OK. Let's not ruin that by our misguided worrying.

It comes to me that God doesn't merely allow us to appreciate something beautiful in nature – God brings all elements together in a moment when we're in the best frame of mind to appreciate the awe.  I looked up from what I was doing and saw what God was doing.

Nothing is so pure as love offered by someone who doesn't believe in hell. To mystics, evil is not an entity. Evil is how goodness appears when it's been separated from God by human manipulation.
