I don't see any single religion as having a monopoly on truth.  My take on religion is that they point toward the truth, like a finger pointing at the moon.  I am interested in mining the wisdom of the world's religions, with the hope that I will strike silver, or possibly gold. 

I joined this community to bounce ideas off of people, and hopefully gain some understanding in the process.  My goal in life is to realize my full potential as a human being.  I realize, however, that my potential will never be as great as Jesus' or Gandhi's or the Dalai Lama's. 

My interests include meditation, hiking, living in the present, and general contentment.
