I'm a 50-something guy, erstwhile writer, father of three kids (two small, one teen) and husband to the most wonderful woman in the world!
I'm Buddhist and Atheist. Otherwise I'm Texan by birth, American by political convenience. I'm sometimes liberal, always pacifist, former activist.
I enjoy watching my kids, travel, thinking, writing.
I have developed a chronic illness that appears to be permanent and has changed my present and future in unpleasant ways. I can't be active, can't work, can't do much of anything. I depend on the VA which is lousy to provide medical help. I live on medications and hobble through the days without much purpose.
I am awake, aware, annoyed that I am one of the few. I believe things could get better but they won't because people are stuck on religion, wrong ideas, and are to blind to see truth.
Life is what it is.
My Favorite Quote or Motto:To be or not to be, that is the question!
