kinda lost here. I was brought up in aBaptist church, but I have so many doubts. So far everything I have researched about being Pagen makes alot more since to me. Any advice is welcome. sydkitty |

The Baptists do understand that fear keeps the church full on Sunday morning, not to mention the offering plate. {"Tithe your ten percent or else..."} But that's not real Christianity. Jesus said "Love God and love your neighbor." Rather than tithing 10% and feeling like that's enough, you actually care about your neighbor and do whatever you can to help. Christianity is a religion based on love. One of my favorite verses is 1 John 4:14- "There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out all fear for fear has to do with punishment." How does that square with what the Baptists preach? Unfortunately, love isn't nearly effective as fear in getting people to come to church. I go to a small church which works out of love. We will never be as big as the Baptist churches around us, but preach the gospel of love.
