    Joshua 3:5 ~ Sanctify Yourself

    Thursday, January 12, 2012, 2:21 PM [General]

    Joshua 3:5 ~ Sanctify Yourself

God has given you the method to perfect your life. The key to perfecting your life so God can give you favor is to sanctify your mind and rise from dead works. Dead works are negative thoughts and deeds, those things that are not of God.

Joshua 3:5 (KJV) And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.

You are already receiving His blessing. You breath His air, you feel the warmth of His sun, you eat off His land, etc. We are our own downfall because we don't follow the word of God.

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know "Thus saith the Lord"

You must know in your spirit that God can give you favor, heal you, and prosper you. You must know in your spirit that whatever is keeping you down God is able to raise you up. There must be no doubt in your spirit.

    Psalm 121

    Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 11:23 AM [General]

    Psalm 121

    © 2008

    By  Minister Janet Lovell

Words have power and when you speak words create. You can use the power of the spoken word to shape your life.

    Psalm 121 (KJV)

1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Verse 1 & 2 ~ “God can make heaven and earth, there is nothing that He cannot do for me,” think on this to build your faith. Believe and have faith knowing God can do what His word says He can do. Build your faith by reading your Bible, listen to testimonies, looking and the technology around you (from the spirit of God to the mind of man comes the internet, the television, your glass, etc – all knowledge belongs to God). When you belief and trust Him with your entire being your anointing will be strong enough to do whatever it is you need. (Remember, you have to stay in God’s presence, letting His word be the foundation for your actions, thoughts and speech to be effectively blessed)

Verses 3 – 5 ~ God is the maker of energy, He is there at all times and your provider when you are a child of God (an obedient child). God channels things to you through the Holy Spirit, which can be with you when your mind is continuously clean. Walk in the spirit and guard your thoughts. In John 6:63 Jesus stated “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

Verses 6 – 8 ~ Nothing that comes against you shall hurt you because God will protect you.

THE MEANING OF THE LORD’S PRAYER CAN TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE

    Tuesday, September 20, 2011, 4:03 PM [General]

The Meaning of the Lord’s Prayer Can Transform Your Life

by Sister Janet Lovell © 2011

Many have learns to recite or say the prayer from as little as 5 years old, but when you study the meaning behind the ‘Our Father’ Prayer it can truly transform your life. It helps to stand on the promise of God. Jesus Christ taught this prayer for a reason. It is truly a complete prayer. It is also a guide to help you create your own prayer. When you study the meaning of this wonderful prayer, you will be drawn closer to your Father the creator, God. You will also repeat the Lord’s Prayer with a new found difference in your spirit.

Meaning of the Our Father Prayer can change your life:

    Repentance

Study and read your Bible often

Depend on God to father you

    Show respect to God

Our Father which art in heaven:

In humility you are acknowledging God as your true Father, one who is responsible to

    1. Provide for you

    2. Protect you

    3. Comfort you

    4. Counsel you

    5. Take care of you

What is the roll of a father? Your true father, God,  is there to do far beyond your expectations. You are also saying you believe your Father is a spirit only spiritual beings live in heaven. When you say the Our Father Prayer, expect God to Father you!!

    Hollowed be thy name:

You are acknowledging God as pure and holy. If God is your Father, people must see His ways in you! You are acknowledging:

    1. Respect for God

    2. Showing reverence by the mention of His name

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven:

You are acknowledging the gift of the Holy Spirit that was given to you to help you accomplish God’s will and most importantly to be obedient. Obedience entitles you to call God your Father and not just your creator. The rules of heaven apply to you and you are acknowledging that fact! [On earth as it is in heaven]

Give us this day our daily bread:

You are asking God to feed you with His word daily (be willing to learn). words do have power and we should use them well. Without the right teaching or the right food (daily bread which is the word); you will not be able to take authority over the problems in your life. You will end up with all kinds of sickness and disease and problems most often cause by a demon call stress.

If your spiritual body is not fed you will become weak, just as if your physical body is not fed you also become weak. The same concept goes for your spiritual body. The problem begins in the spiritual body!

A weak body cannot fight power and principality. Eat the right food daily. What food have you eaten daily? Or what spiritual food have you been eaten? Have you been eating well so that when your boss or spouse giving problems you will know what to do? God’s kingdom is not just words it is power.

Find the right church to be fed, but while you are not in church on a Sunday, lean to feed yourself with the help of the Holy Spirit while reading the bible.

    And forgive those who trespass:

You are acknowledging your imperfection, only God is truly good and only God is always perfect. You are asking for the forgiveness of sins. Only God is truly good. (Importance of repentance.)

As we forgive those who trespass against us:

We are acknowledging that if we don’t forgive, we know that God will not forgive us. We forgive everyone who hurts us. Jesus knows the power of unforgiveness, so the Lord’s Prayer help you to take authority over that spirit that keeps you from prosperity.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil:

You are asking the Holy Spirit to counsel you each day and to help you walk in the path of righteousness.

You know your faults. If you willing to give them up God will help you! You are also asking God to lead you through away from sin. (You first sin in your thoughts. Sin is a state of mind.)

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen:

    You are saying to God:

    1. He is all powerful

    2. He can do all things

    3. He has the final say

    4. He is all knowing (He is in control)

    5. All power belongs to Him

You are saying God can do what He says He can do!

Please believe and understand the Lord’s Prayer; the word will make a difference in your life.

The Lord’s Prayer teaches the importance of:

    1. Knowing God is your Father whose job is to take care of you. God is there to Father you!

    2. Repentance

    3. Forgiveness

    4. Humility

    5. Reverence

    6. Respect for God

    7. God is supreme being, all-knowing, all powerful, always present. Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer. Let your daily life be a reflection of the Lord’s Prayer.

    8. And last Jesus leads the way. All we have to do is follow.

    Wisdom Speaks (excerpt)

    Tuesday, September 6, 2011, 8:55 AM [General]

    ~From Wisdom Speaks

     by Sister Janet Lovell

We must also walk in the spirit by letting the word of God be the foundation of all our actions. Having faith is also important. Our standard must be love, if we don't live by God's standards, we won't be able to effectively utilize god's power. In many ways we are warned about this in the Bible and even in the hymn "The Solid Rock," which states "On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand." When we fill our minds with negative thoughts of malice, unforgiveness, anger, jealousy, greed, envy and other sinful thoughts, we are building on sinking sand. A mind filled with negative thoughts is a breeding ground for sickness and disease. This supports the saying "so as a man thinketh, so is he” Your body will sink into sickness and disease by the sinking sand of your mind.

    Thoughts on Healing

    Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 6:56 PM [General]

    Thoughts on Healing

There should be a strong desire to see others free from their pain; this desire should be so intense that it could bring tears to your eyes. A strong belief in God is necessary; one must understand that it is a higher power doing the work. You must have a peaceful spirit to communicate well to the consciousness of the sick person. If you are angry while ministering to the sick, the person’s condition could get worse. This is a scientific fact.

A healer should always be in a state of holiness and righteousness; this prepares the spirit to be used effectively by God. God is Infinite Power, Infinite Love; this awesome spirit cannot be narrowed down to human description. God communicates through prayers, as one prays with good intention and a clean spirit.

Psalm 112 ~ The Lord Will Rescue You

    Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 6:32 PM [General]

    Psalm 112

    THE LORD WILL RESCUE YOU

    Pt. 3

    Verses 8-10

Written by Sister Janet Lovell © 2011

    Psalm 112

    (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Let us examine the wisdom of Psalm one and improve on lives and gain power.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

While he is going through the problem, he stands without fear. Psalm 27 and Psalm 125 relate to the verse, he’s confident in his mind that God will come through for him.

"He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

When you are a giving person your righteousness is not part time. You are good all the time. A righteous person is a given. This does not always refer to money. Some people will not give either their time or money. Some people don’t give money because of the fear of not having enough or not knowing that giving help to place you in alignment of God because God gave His son as a sacrificial lamb. You are always taking from the Universe, all the time. You take in oxygen, you breathe out carbon dioxide; this in itself is giving and taking. The speech of the righteous person is honorable. A righteous person speaks different from a person who is of self or the world.

“The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish

When your enemy sees you prospering it will upset them but nothing that they do will hurt you. Their wicked deeds will melt away. Whatever they desire for you will not manifest.

Food for thought: When the Israelites receive bad tidings concerning the Promise Land they needed to run to the throne and depend on God. Instead they were governed by fear.

          Please read Numbers 13:25-33, 14:1-11

          Special Note to ministers:

To all ministers using these sermons to preach please read the scriptures that relates to these sermons. When you do, the Holy Spirit will add even more wisdom.

          Peace be unto you!

          THE LORD WILL RESCUE YOU

          Psalm 112

          (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

If you walk with integrity, before the Lord, no matter what you are going through, light will be at the end of the tunnel. God remembers your good qualities; therefore he will not allow a negative situation to destroy you. God will moves with compassion.

"A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.”

A good person according to verse five, enjoys helping others and they also demonstrate wisdom in business, by doing what is right, honest and fair.

“Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

The Lord will not have you in an ongoing negative situation; He will come through for you. Remember the words of Psalm 34, the righteous cry and the Lord heard and delivered them out of all their troubles. God will always remember you; you will be in everlasting remembrance. God remembers the righteous; He will never forget the righteous.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.”

This is my favorite verse; it simply means that when you get bad news, or when calamity bombards you on every side, run to the throne of grace and leave your burdens there. This is the favor of the righteous. When problems come, there should be an instinctive move for you to pray, praise and worship. Job is a fine example for that. When problems came, Job prayed and worshiped God. That is your role as a person walking in righteousness. Many fake believers like to run to God while still disrespecting Him and get upset at God when He’s not at their beckon call. God is not your slave, this higher power is not your ping pong ball, He is utmost infinite power that deserves respect. It is important to read and study the word of God. If you don’t, you will not understand that as part of this consciousness, you have a part to play; your duty is to walk in alignment. When you do, when problems face you, instead of panicking, taking drugs, getting a heart attack and other problems, you will totally surrender all to God, believing this spirit that is all powerful can come up with a solution for you. Finally, I could go on and no  about the verse. Conclusively, verse seven teaches us, when you get bad news about anything, expect God to still solve it for you no matter if it seems impossible, still expect a miracle.

We will further explore Psalm 112 in the next post.

          (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that
          delighteth greatly in his commandments.”

Meaning when you respect God and allow His words to be the fountain of all your actions, you will be blessed. Great and wonderful things will come your way. You also fear God by doing what is right honest and fair.

What does it mean to delight greatly in His commandment?

Well it means that serving God should bring you joy. You are always in the mood of praise, worship and thanksgiving. When you talk delight in doing something it means you love doing it!

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed”

Let us examine this verse carefully. It means when you fear God, blessing will fall upon your children. We see that in the Old Testament with King David. King David feared the Lord; therefore, many blessings fell upon Solomon. The blessings can also extend to your future.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.”

When you fear God, prosperity will come your way. Many people go to church for prosperity. If God was not a God who can make people prosperous/successful, many churches would definitely be empty. Most churches today relate to an exchange module, holiness, righteousness, praise, thanksgiving and love for each other has taken the back seat. If you don’t come with the drama, many fall asleep, many preachers are criticized from doing dramatic preaching; but when you really look at it that is what stimulates the people. Without the drama the people would be bored because they are not gathered to hear true wisdom.

We will further explore Psalm 112 in the next post.

          Peace be unto you!
