On July 17th My Little Mico passed away from a fall and it really devastated me.  I cried all night.  When I got up the next morning I buried him and started to immediately look for a marker.  I had to get books to help with grieving and I thought I would never get through this.  I ended up buying another little silky puppy and I love her dearly but I will always have a place in my heart for little Mico.371d36d75e05eda735858f8e467be99c

This morning (11/14/07) after I let my dog Binky outside after about 5 minutes I went back to the door to let him back in.  What I saw horrified me.  My little dog was on his back stiff as a board, jerking and having trouble breathing.  I was terrified.  I actually thought that I was losing him.  I ran out and grabbed him up in my arms and began rubbing him under his chin and praying.  He was very stiff and was not responsive to me at all.  I continued to pray and he finally began to try to breathe.  After five minutes, he was breathing a little better but still stiff.  I wrapped him in a towel and sat and rocked him for over 45 minutes.  I finally realized that he had experienced his first seizure.  He is three years old and that is the age they will  usually begin having seizures if they are to occur in a dog of his breed (yorkie).  I am so grateful that the Lord heard my prayer.  I will have to watch him more closely now but at least I know what to do now.  I was at a loss at first.  I am glad that I was calm enough to handle things.
