About Me
I believe in both freedom and responsibility. I believe spirituality and rationality are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I believe in celebrating the ways in which we are different as well as valuing what we have in common - similarity can bring us together, diversity makes us strong. Being both alike and unalike is beautiful, unavoidable, and necessary.

I'm in the midst of a wonderful relationship with the woman I waited all my life for, and I'm tremendously in love! We've been together since August of '00. She and I have been involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism, an educational and social group that recreates the fun parts of the Middle Ages, since September of '01. Learn more and find your local group: http://www.sca.org

My interests and hobbies involve the aforementioned SCA (including - but not limited to - dumbek playing for Middle Eastern dancers, Western court and country dance, archery, and juggling), motorcycle riding (when the bike is in repair), writing, running my Website (http://wayshelter.com), and just generally having great times with people I enjoy and respect.

Basicanism - February 3, 2008 - 09:42 AM
Yes, that's my spiritual foundation. If you want to know more about what it is, there's a bunch of info at http://wayshelter.com in a section especially for Basicanism. Having peeked at your profile, I think you'll find this stuff interesting. Thanks for the compliment. I do my best, and it's nice whenever somebody gives a little encouragement. :)
