The Apostle/Nicene Creeds sum up my beliefs as a Roman Catholic. I believe strongly in the two most important Commandments that Our Lord gave us, "Love God with your whole being and love your neighbor as yourself." That's how I try to live my life. One of my favorite Scripture pieces is "Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is Love."
Love is the only emotion that truly matter's and never dies.
I enjoy discussing life, faith and spirituality with other Catholics, but not limited solely to them, I believe it's important to be ecumenical and respect the belief's of others.....we can all learn from each other.
I joined Beliefnet in 2000, we had recently lost our youngest son Shane at the age of 24 and in my pain I was looking for support from others who'd experienced the same, I started a Prayer Circle for Bereaved Parents and it has now evolved into more of a Support Group/Prayer Circle that is still going strong today....thank you Beliefnet!
My hubby was raised Catholic but he doesn't seem to remember a thing, oh well. So I have to go to my nice Catholic sister-in-law for all the answers to Catholic life.
I am glad you added me, this should be interesting and a learning experience.
Hi Sandy: Thank you for your kind thoughts. Sorry that you aren't on Beliefnet anymore. I don't go as much but try to stop by every once in a while. It is hard to find Ave Maria Cafe so I went to your spot to try to find it again. Warmest hugs to you and best wishes for the New Year. Stay warm.
Shaner ~ You have a beautiful icon. Lovely!
