Something happened to me over a month ago, something that had a profound effect on me. Right after that I realized I have no faith any longer. In fact I realize I do not believe in any higher power any longer. I will not say I am athiest, as that is to me a negative term. I do not view myself as an athiest. However for lack of a better term, agnostic comes to mind.

I dont believe athiests believe in freedom of religion or believe that people have a right to believe in anything, so thats why I am not an athiest.

I feel that non of my past spiritual practices have been a waste, but now realize any practices I do have are a waste.

I whole heartedly believe that everyone is good and kind and I support all beliefs here on this community. All the best and blessings to you.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Journal posting asking for donations for the AVON 2 Day Breast Cancer Walk apparently was viewed by someone as inappropriate..I would like to say some choice words to that. Apparently they felt it was "asking for money?" and I was emailed about this.

.....I hate to think that people assume things before they read them...the link goes to the official site for donations to the walk..NOT my own asking for money...but donations to the walk itself...So for those who assume..I hate to use the old "When you assume...you make an a@# out of u and me. But there you go..

AVON Cancer walk is a yearly 2 day event that has helped raise funds for Low Income Breast Health Centers and for Breat Cancer Research. This is a large yearly event held in many large cities...

Every year I ask for donations, I also hope to garner enough to physically take part. I hope this year, I do so, that I get the minimum donations to actually be able to take part in the physical event.

CROSSROAD THE MOVIE

Everything Happens For A Reason

I have been blessed to have made acquaintance with the movers/shakers and creators of the movie Crossroad. I encountered them while my usual perousing on facebook.

 

For Christians but even Non Christians looking for an uplifting heart felt message movie instead of the usual this sounds like one in the making for sure.

 

Much like the movie Fireproof, an excellent Christian film about marriage, this one appears to stike chord on an emotional and moral level...

Much debated over the last thousands of years has been female spirituality. Female spirituality, just like its brothers founded religions is not all the same. Viewed with curiosity and distrust by allot of male dominated religions, female spirituality is not one religion or belief.

There are many types and styles of this type of spirituality in the world. Some may be viewed as "anti male" by some male dominated religions, and it may be true with some but not all. Just as judgement needs to be reserved before coming to conclusions about ANY religion, views about female spirituality need to be addressed not as a whole but per group.

The modern spirituality movement really came into the scene, even more so, during the women's rights movement. But of course go back thousands of years before this. Most women's spirituality groups study Goddesses, or Women in History that have helped women progress into the modern world we know.

When I am discussing this topic with those who have no knowledge about it, I make sure they understand that Women's Spirituality groups are varied, and the ones I like to follow are the groups that welcome female born women. And also believe in practicing practical positive affirmations as part of their rituals.  I personally would not feel comfortable in a group that was "anti man" or "anti human" in anyway.

 

The group that I love is the one that is near me and that is Daughters of the Goddess. Currently Daughters of the Goddess is looking to become a non profit, but allows women to join and will not turn women away because offinancial inabilities.I highly recommend donations to Daughters of the Goddess. I Believe in this organization and others around the globe that also practice Women's Spirituality.

If you have a friend, wife, daughter, niece or girlfriend looking to educate themselves in the mysteries of women's spirituality, be sure to direct them to a friendly and welcoming women's spirituality group.
