I guess that I'll settle for the fact that I believe in a Devine Being. My best bet will be to honor Him/Her/It in the best way I can. I will continue to treat those around me as I wish to be treated.

AN EPIPHANY (show light bulb over the head)

I finally realized that I believe in a Devine Being! I'm just not sure how, or even if to honor or worship it. The Mainstream religions just really don't hit where my spirit is at this time in my life. I have serious doubts about the amount of factual information is in the Bible, especially in the new testament.

I,m also willing to bet GOD isn't the only God out there! I haven't heard any evidence to deny the existence of other Deities. Or perhaps it's just one or a small number of Gods wearing many "faces". Using whichever persona that a specific culture calls for.

I,ve been roaming around B'net for a few days looking for new paths to my lost identity. I almost thought I found a group that thought like I do.

But alas, they don.t believe in an afterlife. I,ve had too many personal experiances with ghost, spirits, or whatever you want to call them to deny life after death.

I'm kinda new at this so here goes.

My personal beliefs at this point and time are very confused. I really believe that there is a Greater Power in the universe, and that we owe that Power our deepest respect if not downright devotion.

My problem arises from the fact that I don't believe in most current religious dogma. A favorite saying about the Bible and other religious documents is " quoted by God, edited by man. From my point of view those responsible for the final edition for these documents added or deletd text as they thought they needed to, usually to promote what THEY thought was their Dietie's point of view.

I guess my question would have to be, what makes your religion the right one. Why can't we worship as we see fit instead of conforming to some groups idea of right. So far as I see it the words of the Diety(s) are lost to antiquity and its been a long time since I've heard a convincing argument why i should follow any dogma.

So I'm open to Ideas here. Convince Me that your God(s) is/are the one(s) for me.
