Hi Nonchristianheaven, I did go to public school as a child, as did the vast majority of Muslims I knew. But most are not overt in their faith and you wouldn't know that they were Muslim if you didn't ask. Some parents like to send their kids to Islamic school because it relieves the kids of the pressure to assimilate. Depending on the school culture, it's not always easy for a kid to belong to a minority religion. Peace, Serene

As a child did you get to go to a public school? I find many Muslims live near us but they don't go to public schools. It is sad that I never got to go to go to school with anyone Muslim. It would have been nice to have had a Muslim friend.
