Listen While You Work

While performing my daily task of cleaning out my cats' [5] pottybox, [Iknow that may "gross out" some of you.  Sorry, but it's now part of my life since the Lord, I believe, led mama cat to have her babies in my backyard last Spring and then take off after weaning them.  They were and are just too precious to give away]  I felt the Lord showing me how Jesus didn't just clean up my messes and cover the smells with deoderant.  He took all my messes , foul odors, and ALL upon Himself on the cross.  He created a whole new me...Cleansed by His Blood, sanctified by His Grace, and led by His Holy Spirit.

Is it guaranteed that I will make no more messes?  NO, but I do have the assurance (I John 1:7, 9, and 2:1b-2] that "if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

Lord, grant that I may always be sensitive to the movement of Your Holy Spirit in my life.  May I see with my eyes, hear with my ears, and understand with my heart, "He Who is the downpayment of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."  Eph. 1:14

    It's Monday, so...

    Monday, April 6, 2009, 3:19 PM [General]

It's Monday, so it has to be laundry day, right?  Don't you just love and enjoy doing laundry?  Yeah, right!!!

While I was dragging things out of the dryer I got to musing about what message my Lord had for me in that chore.

As I  considered one of my husband's shirts I noticed that one of the sleeves was wrong-side out.   Then it came to me that He was showing me that no one is perfect, but he has told us to love them anyway.

In considering my husband's slacks I was very thankful for permanent-press.   Ironing out difficulties can be stressful and heated,  but we are told to make peace with all men.  And through the Love of Jesus it can be done.

When I got to his socks I found that one was missing its mate.   I looked up where I put miss-matched ones, and PTL there it was!   Seek and ye shall find!

Oh Lord, I pray Your Presence in all that I do this day and every day.   Let  my heart be open to Your still, small voice.

May God bless all who enter here.

Every day is the Lord's day

    Wednesday, April 1, 2009, 2:03 PM [General]

This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it. It's overcast and drizzly out today, but still beautiful.  The azaleas have started to bloom in my front yard and the saucer magnolia is showing buds.  Thank you Lord for the beauty of the earth!   Had a visitor last evening to the bird-station.  An opossom showed up for dinner around 10 PM.  Hadn't seen it since last fall, so guess he/she'd been hibernating under the yard shed.  Really went after the peanuts and sunflower seeds!  Had a family of groundhogs under there afew years ago.  They were really cute out  there eating on our tomatoes.  My husband wasn't too happy about that tho.  Have been praying for God's Wisdom for our world leaders as the G20 Summit gets underway.  please join with me in lifting them up to the Lord that HIS will be done in all this.  I am also very concerned about our nation.  Please join me in lifting up our national leadership.  I feel that there is a "spirit of discord" trying to tear our country apart and we need to join together to overcome it.  Our Lord promised that "if two or more are gathered in My Name I will hear and I will answer"  Let us join our voices together and pray for peace , harmony and prosperity for our nation.  We are so blessed to be citizens of this country and, I feel it is our duty to be constantly lifting  up to the Lord  our petitions for its wellbeing.   May God bless all who enter here.

    AAH SPRING

    Tuesday, March 31, 2009, 1:29 PM [General]

Here I sit, gazing into my back yard at the daffodils blooming, the pear trees budding and the willows begining to leaf.   Saw a pair or wrens at the feeder just awhile ago.   They are so tiny, and so busy!   They just love the cranberries that we put out and so do the squirrels.   I do enjoy Spring!!!   A jaybird just let his presence be known.   He/she [who can tell?   Only another jay, I guess} just made off with a peanut.   Boy, do they LOVE peanuts!   Didn't God make a beautiful world for us to live in?   Just think what the next one will be like.   May God bless all who enter here.
