It was relaxing sitting on the boardwalk listening to the surf and the gulls and watching the people go by.
Beautiful !!!

Merry Christmas to All Hope and pray all are enjoying this day.

We are relaxing this afternoon (3 PM).  Had our get-to-gather with our family last night, and just quietly lazing around today.

Went for a ride through a nearby park this morning.  The snow on the ground made it just lovely.  Hope the rain holds off, but weather service predicts some for this evening and tonight.

Living in Delaware, we don't get much snow and this is really a treat having a white Christmas.

I pray that God will bless you and yours this holiday season and throughout the coming new year.

Merry Christmas to all ! ! !

A weekend in the mountains This past weekend my hubby & I attended the 50th anniversary celebration of a lovely Christian couple we met years ago at church in Jacksonville Florida.

Back then we had no children, but they had two little ones.  Since Jerry was on-ship for months at a time, Linda had her hands full taking care of everything, including being involved at the church.

When she and I had choir practice, Dick, my hubby, would babysit for Dawn and David.  Got alot of experience being a surrogate Dad.  Came in handy later.

Our trip took us through some beautiful scenery.  Delaware to Maryland, a little bit of northern Virginia and on into W. Virginia for the night.  Then we back-tracked to Maryland for the ceremony and a delicious dinner in the church hall.

We saw mountains and fog-shrouded valleys, crossed the Potomic and the Shannandoah rivers and enjoyed views of horse farms and Autumn leaves.

We feel so blessed to be able to participate in such  a display of faithfulness between two such precious people reaffirming their marriage vows.

We look forward to our 50th anniversary in afew years and hope and pray that Jerry and Linda will be with us when WE say I DO again.

Fall Has Definately Arrived Autumn has definately arrived here in Delaware.

It has been raining and the wind has been blowing like crazy for the past two days, and is to continue tomorrow, with the highs in the low 40's and the lows in the low 30's.  Brrrr!!!

Well, its been awhile since I last posted.  Didn's realize how long.

Summer sure went quickly.  Didn't do much traveling.  Just enjoyed staying home.  Hubby is now retired and we have really had a good time around the house.  Believe it or not, he is learning to cook.  Haven't gotten him interested in healthy food, tho.  Cookies, homemade bread, cobbler.  Oh well, I'll keep trying to convince him that bran is a good thing.

Have a new batch of kittens.  Mama, a feral,  not the same one as last year, had four little ones in our backyard.  Think there is a sign on our back fence saying "suckers inside".  So now with the colder weather we have them in the house.  We're trying to tame them so we can take them to a "No Kill" shelter so they can find them homes.

Anyone out there want a little orange kitty or two, or three or.......

Ah well,  they make every day an adventure.  Three of my girls from last year's brood have accepted a couple of the little ones and "play nice", but still have to keep an eye on Tiger.  She still hisses when one of them approaches her.

The Lord keeps blessing me and my family every day and I thank and praise Him.

It is well, it is well with my soul.

Greeting the dawn of a new month Even though it is still dark out the birds are in full-voice, greeting the new day.

Am sitting here enjoying my first cup of coffee and reveling in the chorus. The cats are all excited this morning "must be a wild hair" or something.  They're bouncing around the house having a ball "a fur ball", wrestling and pouncing on each other.

A very relaxing way to start the new day and new month.

Thank you Abba!!!

God is in His heaven, all's right with the world!!!

May God bless all who enter here.
