About Me:
My family and friends are the best things in my life. I'm an only child, but I have one girl I call a sister and three boys who I call brothers. I'm very lucky.
I don't have very many acquaintances, but I think I'm luckier to have such close friends. Sometimes I miss just having random people to call and hang out with. I should really be more social than I am.
I love to love.
I believe in happy endings.
I live for music and writing poetry. Reading is a close third.
My favorite movies are and will always be Cinderella and It's a Wonderful Life. I basically want George Bailey to be my Prince Charming.
I recently graduated with BAs in Psychology and English with a Creative Writing Specialization, and a Minor in Women's Studies. I would eventually like to go back and receive a BA in Women's Studies and perhaps Philosophy.
I'm one of the most feminist women you will ever meet, but I'm rather unconventional in my feminist beliefs, so you'd never know it.
I'm intelligent, but people assume I'm not. People stereotype me for my blonde hair, my "stuck-up" school, my participation in my sorority, and my love for shoes. I allow those people think I'm dumb; they're clearly incredibly shallow and a waste of my time. I can't stand arrogance, elitists, and shallow people. I pity them. Plus, mean people intimidate me. (By mentioning this, I'm clearly upset about my "stereotype" a lot, but I won't change for anybody, no matter how much it sucks sometimes.)
Becoming a sister in my sorority was the best decision I ever made. I learned so much about myself and life in general. I grew so much as a person.
I love art of all kinds -- music, the written word, dance, paintings, prints, collages, sculptures, musical theater, and anything I left out.
I'm probably too socially liberal, but I try to be open-minded.
I believe in the good in people.
I'm idealistic to a fault. Some of my other flaws are being messy, trusting people way too much, having to always be the leader, and letting people walk all over me. I'm a huge dork as well, and my friends would back me up on that. I also don't know when to shut up, which I'm sure makes me very annoying at times. (This is a perfect example.)
Some of my strengths are my positivity, my optimism, my independent nature, kindness, and having a good heart in general. Sometimes it's harder to focus on my strengths than my weaknesses, but I try the best I can.
My motto is, "What Would Jimmy Buffett Do?" I think if we all lived a little more like Jimmy, we'd all be a little bit happier.
I like football and scotch, but I also like daisies and the color pink. I have varied (and weird) interests.
I watch way too much television for my own good. Seriously, it scares people sometimes.
