I joined BeliefNet about four years ago.  I found it to be a fascinating site, and an interesting micro version of the world at large.

It has been an incredible adventure.  I have been able to forge many relationships...quite a few of the folks in my "friends" area, I have actually met and hung out with.

So..me in a nutshell.. or me as a nut, you decide:   The former New Jersey Governor would term me, I guess, as a "Gay American".  We, who apparently came across the great watery divide from the Continent of "Gay". 

Anyway... I am one.  I do not claim to be a member of The.Gay.Community. however...not because I think being a member of such a community would be bad (hell, I need a toaster as bad as the next guy), but because I think the creation of that artificial construct is just emotional laziness...mostly on the part of those who hate gay people.  Just to fit in however, if you read my posts, I will make reference to the Anti-gay and Hatred Community.  I mean, hey, if WE have one...why shouldn't they?

If anyone has been to either, please send pictures.  I hear the Gay one is just passed Brigadoon, take the left fork at Xanadu and turn a U-ey in front of OZ.

Just so you don't get the impression that being g-a-y is all I am about.... I am a Dad.  I have two sons... J and J.... they are "almost" twins.  Born four months apart.

You may have deduced that they are adopted.  True.  My partner and I were fost-adopt parents.  Both our boys were born to drug addicted mothers, and each was drug exposed in the womb.  They show no signs of this today and each is excelling in their development.  Fost-adopt is a system here in California where children are placed with fosterparents who, if the birth parents program for re-unification does not succeed, become the adoptive parents.

Other than that... I am Christian...sober through a certain 12-step program for over 25 years (quit drinking when I was 10... if you believe that, lets discuss the swamp land I am selling...).
