I'm a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I have a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary and I enjoy studying and discussing religious topics, hence why I'm on beliefnet. While obviously, my expertise lies in Christian Biblical studies, I have spent time studying Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism as well.
Prior to my ministry career, I graduated from college with a degree in journalism, then spent several years working in story development for Disney Animation, and then moved into the realm of marketing/advertising/graphic design.
I know the ELCA has its problems, but theologically, I still find the basics of Lutheran doctrine to be as close to what I believe about scripture as I can get. I believe Lutheran insights on biblical interpretation, if actually explored and adhered to, can really help open up conversation and create bridges between differing viewpoints.
I also write online articles regarding Protestant Christianity at Suite 101 and have a personal theology blog called "Rivkah's Theology Corner."
I'm also an artist and really enjoy creating Christian-themed artwork. I used to work solely in oils but have gained an appreciation for the quick-drying qualities of acrylics over the past few years! To view my Christian artwork: Click here

I make a bad friend not staying in touch, and I am sorry. I have been pretty busy. Between Doctors, and other things I have been going at it pretty strong. I hope this finds you in good spirits. May God walk with you in all you do.
