From a handwritten unpublished manuscript – page 127-128
Throughout the ages humanity has built many elaborate structures as houses of worship. We have been given many different scriptures and texts, doctrines and rules, different ceremonies and rituals to implement and follow. We have been told and in some cases forced to only follow this teacher or that to the exclusion of all others. Some have rebelled against this and been put to death. This has divided humanity into a multitude of religious and warring camps. People seeing this are walking away from organized religions for within their heart and mind they know this is not the way it should be.
In truth, every village and town has a teacher, guide, and/or wise person available to them. Teachers of righteousness and guides are with every generation. The forms of worship are as many as the number of individuals upon this earth. Yes, there are many levels and methods of worship that can be used by an individual. The simplest form is to be true to your own inner knowing and the essence of who you are. Next might be to provide food, clothing, shelter, and medicine to those who are in your care or to the truly needy who come to you for aid. Next you might offer your knowledge and skills in service to your community. One of the greatest forms of worship is to share your knowledge and wisdom with those who are willing and wish to learn. You become the teach and at the same time a student, learning and teaching, or sharing with each individual member of the human family. To do this you must freely choose to share and practice what you believe. At the basic level your body is your temple, then your community, then the whole world. Each member of humanity becomes part of your family. It matters not where you dwell or if you have built fancy houses in which to share. The whole of this world becomes a sacred space to you. Each small task becomes a sacred trust that you must accomplish to the best of your ability. Your word becomes your bond and your actions demonstrate all that you truly believe.
If you worship in these ways, the One will be well pleased. You will embrace life with love. You will become compassionate and understanding. You will become knowledgeable and wise. The confusion of doctrines, ceremony, and rules will disappear for you will live in a way that is true to the essence of your nature. You will have the freedom to use your talents and abilities in walking the path before you. You will give others this freedom too. Humanity will begin to come together in love and service for the good of all. We will work together in harmony and peace. Humanity will begin to realize and strive to reach its true potential.
