I am a painter/sculptor trained through graduate school at The Ohio State University. I am married to a gracious and loving woman named Kari, whom I have known since 8th grade. We have our daughter, son in law and three grandchildren pre-school in age. I felt blessed to have found Beliefnet only a couple years back and am looking forward to establishing contact with others who seek after the mysteries of God. I have experienced profound shifts in hope and faith, healing and recovery through leaning on His grace and mercy-yet still have more questions than answers. My struggle at times has much more to do with dogmatism and human religiosity, yet in the midst of the pain and trials we all face I find great peace in my heart and a faith that the Creator is much bigger than we have even begun to fathom. Despite the image of a wrathful Creator that so often promoted from various leaders throughout our world (and the constant barrage of negativity, hate, violence and division that we are assaulted by every day) my faith tells me that God's plan for humanity on every level is coming into view-and that it is glorious! Having been raised in the fifties and sixties, I am in awe at the shift in our world to a global community and how this has affected matters of material and spiritual inquiry. These are just some of the things today that I hope to discuss and share!
