Name: Kathy Smith's Spiritual Walking
Status: Member
Description: One thing I've learned in our Spiritual Walking Group is that finding a network of people that support your efforts is a major factor in achieving your goals. With this idea in mind, Beliefnet and I are pleased to announce "America Walks with Kathy Smith," a 10-month journey that we hope will allow us to support each other in our quests to accomplish our individual aspirations, but also to work toward a common goal as a group: to be healthier in our bodies, minds, spirits, homes, schools, and planet. Every month, from now through October 4th, 2008 (the official date of the walk), I'll help us focus on different aspects of walking, personal growth, and spiritual connection. Within each month's theme, we'll also have some fun with a monthly contest and prize. As we proceed, we'll build a community of walkers, touching lives across the country with our anecdotes, our struggles, and our ever-growing support system. As we take this journey together, I encourage you to reach out to friends and family and invite them to participate. And as our group culminates with the Walk Across America on October 4th, we'll hand off a "virtual baton" from one walker to the next - symbolizing our personal goals (weight loss, lowering blood pressure, increasing energy), and at the same time, uniting in our mission to create a healthier America and a healthier world.
Name: Astrological Musings
Status: Member
Description: This group is an extension of the Astrological Musings blog, and an opportunity for discussions on all things astrological. We'll be talking about real astrology here - not sun sign horoscopes! The art of astrology is a sacred one that has come down to us in various forms over 5,000 years. This genuine astrology shares little with the sun sign horoscopes you'll read in your paper, and a more modern and enlightened astrological interpretation takes us out of the superstitious model helps us to transform our lives and empower ourselves as individuals. You can ask questions about your own chart, and learn more about all things astrological. Whether you're a beginner or an expert professional, there's a place here for you! Your guide on the journey is Lynn Hayes, who has been a practicing astrologer since 1983. Visit her on the web at www.astrodynamics.net, and visit Astrological Musings here on Belief Net: http://blog.beliefnet.com/astrologicalmusings.
