I joined this community because I like meeting other people in the community even if they are not a Christian. I have belonged to the community before and enjoyed it very much. Now that I am back I have an opportunity to meet friends. I love to read, sew, garden, and travel. I am very pleased that I have the opportunity to see more of this wonderful planet that God created. Hello Guyaa! I take it your comment was directed toward my views of Science? Well, I think I can answer most of your questions. Firstly, I don't think we need to know how God created us. Who cares? God did it, that's all that matters. But since we humans decided to do it anyway, I took up an opinion about it. Secondly, God did gives us rules and wonderful scriptures that discuss in beautiful ways the Glory of God. Sadly, humans sought glory for themselves and wrote thier own things about, and sometimes into, these scriptues. THat's why I trust science. Its the facts and knowledge given by God to help us discern what is of God and what is not. Though, this is my belief, and all these comments are my opinions. Glad to talk to you, and thank you for your virtual freindship!

Thanks so much for reaching out to me when i was feeling down. My marriage is doing better. One of the suggestions you made about not aguing was one of the things I also had decided to try and what a difference it made! I kept biting my tongue so much, I was afraid there wouldn't be anything left of it! But there was also a change in my husband when I wouldn't argue. He also became nicer and less argumentative. I guess if you don't have anyone to augue back its over with pretty quick. Should have figured that one out a LOT sooner. Your marraige sounds very interesting to me. There has to be a lot you both had to deal with and come to terms with regarding your faith. I hope you will continue to communicate with me and hopefully I can reach out to you in your time of neediness, too. Thanks again

Really nice to hear from you. And I'm very grateful that you helped your husband rediscover his faith by taking that Quran home. I think the following verse from the Quran might interest you. "Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." - Chapter 2 Verse 62 Actually Muslim men are permitted to marry Christian and Jewish women because ultimately we all share the same faith and we all worship the same God. But the problem that muslims have with most modern-day Christians is with their belief of the trinity and the claim that Jesus (PBUH) was the son of God, which of course does put into doubt the oneness and unity of God. Plus, the crucifixion (I suppose you know that we believe that Jesus (PBUH) was saved by God and taken to heaven). And I've heard of certain old Christian sects that had the same belief. Still though, we do believe in Jesus's second coming. And if you look closely it is quite obvious both religions have much in common. And if you read the Quran you'd get a sense that our Prophet (PBUH) was not sent to preach a new religion, but only to rectify certain misconceptions of the old religions and to complete the message of God. But then again if you think that all this makes good sense, we muslims (including me :)) would always recommend you to convert, cos we believe that Christianity today is not entirely the religion that Jesus (PBUH) preached. And I suppose that's what your husband is trying to do. :) But then again that's for you to choose. And God says in the Quran "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things." I'm not an Imam or a preacher (and I'd always recommend you to speak with someone like that), but I'm glad that you decided to talk with me about this matter. God bless!
