Prayer, Meditation, Worship, God, Interfaith issues, Charity, Biblical archaeology, History, Movies, TV, Music, Books, Education, Travel, Gardening, Crafts, Current events, Art, Environment, Health, Weight loss, Fitness, Caregiving, Family, Marriage, Parenting, Pets, I like classical music as well as modern music such as Freebird by Lynard skynard. One of my favorite songs is Amazed by Lonestar. I like the Irish singers, Enya in particular and music from other countries.
My Favorite Books, Authors, Musicians, Movies, Preachers, TV shows, etc:
I like to read mysteries, biographies, inspirational and some history books. I like Ruth Rendel and other English mystery writers. Don't watch much T.V. but I like public television like Masterpiece Theatre and anything British that they show. Also the History Channel and the Do it yourself programs. There is a medical mystery program I think is interesting too.
Who Inspires Me:
Everyday people inspire me the most as they have the kind of courage it takes to keep on going, working, paying taxes, raising families, sometimes against the greatest odds, overcoming hurdles, they are the unsung hero's, the working people, the middle class that makes this country strong.

AArp and the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.
My favorite spiritual activities:
Going to church on Sunday at the Methodist church that my daughter goes to and going to their Wednesday evening dinners and Power classes.
Who I'm praying for:
I pray for peace and have done since I was a child. I pray for the healing of all sick and suffering in this world. I pray for all children in danger. I pray for the hungry and homeless all over the world.

About Me
I believe that God put us here to help each other and by loving one another we show our love for God. I like what St. Francis said to always preach the gospel and if necessary use words. If we live as real Christians that is the best way to show a good example of God's love. I am a former Catholic.
My husband and I enjoy going out with friends to events, dances and bowling. I like to garden, sew, do needlework of all kinds, paint in water colors, oils and acrylics. Enjoy reading a good book. Like doing different kinds of do it myself projects on our old house. Like to travel. Enjoy spending time with my wonderful daughters. I take care of two granddaughters, plus we have two teen age grandchildren.
I enjoy the over fifties group here most of all, since I don't go to a senior center, I can read what other people of my age group think about the world situation.
