About Me
Hobbies; I like crafty things (making jewelry, sewing, candle-making etc.)I also enjoy video games,RPG's> (Diablo II: LOD, Radiata Stories, Final Fantasy, Tales of the Abyss),Some arcade>( Pacman, donkey kong, mario brothers, space invaders), and I don't really know how to categorize these, but I think they are fun *grin* (Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Resident Evil) and that's the short list.
Spirituality; I am a deeply spiritual person as far as going on a day to day basis, but if a holiday comes around and I don't do all the traditional things that are typically associated with that holiday, I am not overly grieved but I do try to at least observe the holidays. I am an eclectic Pagan and pretty much follow the kitchen witch/ hedge witch path with Hestia/Vesta as my patroness. I currently lead a women's pagan spirituality group for ladies in and around the St Louis, MO area called Hestia's Hearth.

Aspirations; I have been focused for many years just being the best mom I can be (seems to have worked nicely!)I always aspire to be the best person I can be, and well, let's just say, I try to be good at whatever I attempt to do.
Attachments; my family and friends and my pets (I have cats and dogs at the moment) I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 6 rats I am a big animal lover!
Work/life balance; I was working at home and at odd hours so that my family wasn't as affected by my job as my job was by my family. I am currently unemployed.
Triumphs; I survived 2 teen aged girls! lol, seriously I am proud of the way my girls turned out. I homeschooled them and they are very intelligent and well rounded. needless to say I am very proud of both of them.
Quirks/traits friends admire; I have a varied sense of humor...It does get a bit morbid when things are going bad, but it is always there..., my nuturing nature, my "make-lemonade" outlook on life.
Cute faults; hmmm.. possibly my inability to let things go without trying to figure them out first (for example, What on earth makes a fault cute?)
Likes; I love animals of all types, though I am leery of approaching many species! I love storms and sunshine equally (as long as said storm doesn't consist of ice or snow
Dislikes; Hypocrysy, bigotry, racism, homopobia, people who are cruel to those who are weaker than themselves...ok these things I feel VERY strongly about. smaller dislikes would be little stuff like leaving the cap off the toothpaste and putting empty containers back in the cupboards.
What I'm Doing With My Life
I am trying to get back into the social scene after living in the middle of the woods for 7 yrs. (no kidding!) I have decided I am tired of being...stuck for lack of a better word... yeah, I can go to a movie or whatever on my own, but it's so much better when you are with someone else...who else are ya gonna talk about the movie with afterwards?
I'm Really Good At
listening, learning, teaching, pretending that I can sing (when I know darn well otherwise), laughing, being me :)I am also good at massages and I am very intuitive.
My Musical Tastes; everything from Will Smith to Pink to Nickleback,Madonnas older stuff, Evanescence, Whitney Houston's old stuff, Journey, Bon Jovi good grief this is not an easy question for me! lol I like new age music too.. especially drumming.
Movies, Television, and stuff;action/ adventure/ comedy/ fantasy/ science fiction/ some thrillers (no gore for me!)/ suspense... Most of the Disney Cartoons and movies *grin* I am still a kid at heart. Anything with Jackie Chan in it, The Phantom Of The Opera, Chicago, The Brothers Grimm, Hitch, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Man In The Iron Mask, Anything with Johnny Depp in it, Anything with Whoopi Goldberg in it, Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen Of The Damned, Gothika, The Long Kiss Goodnight, The Labrinth, The Crow, The Titanic, and The Mists Of Avalon are a few of my favorites as far as Movies go. I don't watch much TV since I am the type who gets hooked far too easily on sitcoms. I did mention that I like to laugh, but I don't want to find myself rearranging my schedule to watch a particular show. There were 2 shows on the sci fi channel I did find myself rearranging my schedule for, but they don't come on regularly anymore :( Those were The Highlander (the series) And Sliders.
Preferred Reading; If I tried to list all my favs, we'd be sitting here for a while...so I'll just list some of my favorite authors instead, Marion Zimmer Bradly, Tamora Pierce, Anne Rice, Dan Brown, Christine Feehan, Kelley Armstrong, Laurell K. Hamilton, J.K. Rowling, Scott Cunningham, Kim Harrison, D.J. Conway, Christopher Penczac, M.R. Sellers, Ellen Dugan, Piers Anthony to name a few
The Five Things I Could Never Do Without
Essentials aside (food, air, water, etc....)and in no particular order.. I could actually do without, but I'd prefer not to....
(1)good reading material (2)affection (3)Family and friends (as long as I'm not stranded on an island or something, I'd rather be by myself than have to listen to other people whine about bad circumstances!) (4)My spirituality (5) My sense of humor.. I never leave home without it
The Most Private Thing I'm Willing to Admit Here Is
I am 4'3" tall - a dwarf - (I don't have a beard and I haven't done any mining lately!) I have gone through numerous operations and as a result I am pretty scarred up. I have several physical conditions called Vitamin D Resistant Ricketts, hypochondroplasia, and Scoliosis. I am disabled but I do believe my quality of life has not deteriorated too much :)
People I respect the most; I find it difficult to say any one person, because there is so much I have learned from so many people. I feel that the true heroes (unsung though they might be) Are those who have lived with the trauma and drama of an abusive childhood or relationship and had the courage and strength to overcome that and be strong and loving people in their own right.
