About Me
I'm living with my life partner, Paul, and I'm a grandmother to three beautiful granddaughters! I have a son and daughter and I'm enjoying life--most of the time! Paul and I spend as much time on our motorcycle as possible and revel in the beauty of nature.
I'm passionate about animals and their welfare. I adore horses and cherish any time I can spend with them. They tell you so much with their eyes and they feed my soul! I feel a greater connection to horses than to any other animal and I love them all!
I struggle each day to find time for myself so I don't get lost in the world. I often lose my focus, but thanks to my friends, I can usually find my way back.
I'm an advocate for Vietnam Vets and POW/MIAs. This country needs to do all it can to bring all our troops home--both living and dead. Leave no one behind.
I wish that we as a people would evolve to the level where disputes could be solved through words and all wars would be eliminated. I know that's a lot to wish for, but I also know that if enough people believe it and strive for it, it can happen. This would be my greatest wish for my grandchildren--a world without wars.
I have been interested in Buddhism for years, but it is only recently that I've found myself actually considering myself a Buddhist. I was born and raised a Catholic and I like to say I'm a recovering Catholic! Buddhism allows me to get closer to who I truly am.
All life is sacred and if I could leave my children and grandchildren a meaningful legacy, it would be that they, too, realize that all life is sacred and take none of it for granted. I can't imagine a life without our fellow living creatures and if it ever came to that, I would no longer want to be here.
