About Me
I chose the name Mitraya as a version of Maitreya,the name Maitreya or Metteyya is derived from the word maitrī (Sanskrit) or mettā (Pāli) meaning "loving-kindness", which is in turn derived from the noun mitra (Pāli: mitta) in the sense of "friend".
I joined this community, as a spiritual seeker. I've always considered myself a seeker, on a neverending spiritual journey. I hope to hear from other fellow spiritual travellers on this magical journey called Life. I live on the West Coast and love to travel within the United States and abroad.
Inspirational influences include Martin Luther King, Jr, Thich Nhat Hanh, John O'Donahue, Rabbi Michael Lerner of Tikkun, Thomas Moore, Deepak Chopra, and Joel Osteen.
