Happy Father's Day - June 15, 2008 - 11:03 AM

Just stopping by to wish a very Happy Father's Day to you and your Mark. Have a good one and stay dry. I had a nice day yesterday. I went to a Day of Reflection in our diocese. It was titled, "Our Journey to the Eucharist." The priest was very nice and he discussed Sts. Peter and Paul and our reverence for the Body of Christ. At the end we had a very nice Mass. The priest had a very nice voice and also a nice singing voice. (Not as high as mine though - LOL!) It was odd at the end of the Mass we had thunder and lightening and it sounded like whistling and sirens going off. I had never heard such a sound before. I wonder if these storms were coming from the Midwest. Anyway, it was a nice day. Again, have a great Father's Day. Peace & Love - Mark

Flooding all around here - June 13, 2008 - 08:11 AM

There is flooding all around me and most of the highways and interstates are closed or diverted. At least a couple of my co-workers have been evacuated from their homes (though one of them was refusing to leave, last I'd heard). Fortunately, we're not seeing any flooding in my part of time. Unfortunately, things are supposed to get worse and not stop until Tuesday or Wednesday. Internet's out at the church and is either out at home or the computer's internet programming died, so I only have one internet source right now.

Weird Weather in PA too - June 12, 2008 - 08:57 PM

Hi again Jon. We had 4 days of 90+ weather. I walked to Spanish Mass on Tuesday night as I usually do. When I was at Mass you could hear the wind blow and the rain. The lights flickered several times. When Mass was over the rain was winding down. When I walked down an alley on the way home there was a big tree limb blocking the path. So I suppose I missed being wacked by a tree limb by several minutes. My son said that we had golf ball size hail at our house. Now the weather is a little cooler. Have a good evening.
