About Me
I am always interested in the views of those who seek truth and like to share their "bits" of wisdom with others. I am an environmentalist and practice sustainable agriculture, trying very hard to stick to traditional farming methods using signs, seasons, and good organic "common sense". This way, I can make my little piece of the world a safe and productive place to raise my family. I am also very involved in helping disadvantaged populations to better care for themselves and their families through education and "hands-on" partnering. Self-sufficiency helps to build esteem and encourages many to raise themselves out of poverty whether situational or generational. I'm pretty much about people and hope that I can continue to make an impact in my community. I'm crazy about my kids and they're growing up to be fantastic people with an abundant conscience and sense of accountability and an honest desire to be the best they can be. Enough of this I, Me, Mine thing. I want to hear what you have to say.

Life is Good...for all intents and purposes!!! - August 7, 2008 - 04:36 PM
I've been struggling here a little with health issues, elderly parent transitions on the other side of the country and some serious contention in the workplace with a supervisor (yes, I've been nice and working hard). I sometimes fail to remember the big picture, cause it seems we're always being reminded to "enjoy" the journey with its difficulties, challenges, rewards, problems, surprises and pain. Now, I ask again...which is more important and why...the journey or the destination? Do they deserve equal attention? How do we remind ourselves to stay the course or cut losses by jumping ship according to the circumstances? Let's hear some inspiration from someone out there. I'm stuck and struggling for some answers. And yes...a humorous response would be just fine.
