About Me
I am a mother of five grown children. I have been housebound with a difficult illness for the last five years and I am currently making home with four of my five children and my 13 year old grandson. Though I am formally trained as a theologian in the Christian tradition, and as a pastoral counselor, I am not connected to any tradition at this time. I consider myself to have a deep abiding faith in the process of living and in the creative power behind and in the Universe. I see God as being in us and with us and us as being in God. God is more than the sum of all creation, however-- that 'more', for me, is undefined mystery, except to say that it is always expressed as 'Love for all of Creation'--as seeking our highest and best good, always, all ways.
Over the years I have studied the mystics of several traditions, the Enneagram, the Destiny Cards, Astrology and have practiced meditation for 30+ years. I have been deeply aware of 'God' since I was a small child. In my professional life I worked as a chaplain in Emergency and Trauma in a large teaching hospital and as a counselor with hospice. I have an avocation in Alternative medicine, nutritional healing and other healing modalities such as Reiki, kything and the ancient, revered practice of the laying on of hands for healing.
A current deep interest of mine is exploring the importance of stewarding pain and of cultivating joy so that our lives are rich and our relationships deep.
