About Me
Hola! Shalom! Moshi moshi! Hello! Welcome to my profile. My name is Cat I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast (Katrinaland) and am a double major in Film/Psychology with a minor in Religion. I am also big into literature and music (I play 6 instruments and I sing). I was raised Catholic by mother and grandmother (who hijacked the television and was recently on what I dubbed "Popewatch 2008"), my father was raised Baptist but doesn't really follow any belief, but he has carried on many beliefs of his Native American heritage, he and I are members of the 12 Tribes of the Cherokee Nation and I do apply those beliefs to Respect of Nature and Animals. I have currently taken a step back from my faith to see where I stand spiritually. I went back to the Catholic church in high school, due to a lot of problems at home, and stayed because it was a family who took care of me. I still regard my priest who is really incredible (his heroes are Pope John Paul II and Ghandi, if that says anything) as one of my biggest spiritual advisers and he is my personal hero. But I realized for a while I don't adhere to a lot of the Christian and Catholic doctrine. So I'm seeing where I stand. Despite my departure from the church, I still continue to do missionary work. In fact I plan to go to Uganda with a non-denominational church in December!
