About Me
Howdy! I'm Bruce from Smithville, TX (about 50 miles east of Austin). I came to this website looking for a free Christian screensaver for the computer and got to looking around and decided to join; looks like some mighty nice folks here and forums that sure hit home for me. I'm very laid back & try hard not to take myself or life too seriously ... though sometimes I reckon I do. Through God's grace, I've been sober over 6 yrs through some pretty rough times.
I have 5 kiddos ranging from 24 yrs to 5 yrs ... 4 are here and one is in Heaven. My very most favorite times are when I'm with them ... they teach me soooo much!
I'm not so much looking for someone to meet (in a serious relationship kinda way) because I've still got a lot of "baggage" to unpack & work through (grief, rebuilding my shattered faith & some unanswered questions seem to be the most pressing). It's taking a while, but I'm trying to be patient and let God continue to work His miracles in my life through His Word and through others, and maybe one of these days I'll be fit to start looking for a Soul Mate. Until then, I'll just sit back and enjoy ya'lls company, learn from you, and along the way hopefully make a new friend or two.
