I'm the author of The Christian President, and I'm really interested in talking to people about the effect of spirituality on politics.  I think that our beliefs determine who we are, and the people we are determines the society we live in.  The Bush Administration might have been created by the "Christian Right", but I do not think it is very "Christian" at all.  In fact, I think the Bush Administration is really all about "Armageddon".  Bush used to go to private seminars given by Tim LaHaye, the author of the Left Behind series of books.  Bush strongly believes that he is sending Chrsitian soldiers to do battle against the Satan in Iraq.  I think that's absurd, and if we aren't careful, we're going to end up sending Christian soldiers (including my teenage son) into Iran and then into Russia and where ever else Tim LaHaye says Satan is hiding.  My book is all about a President who takes his orders from Jesus directly.
