About Me
I was born Episcopal, married Presbyterian. Since retirement I was briefly U U and UCC, but am now Presbyterian again. My wife and I were married in 1960. We have three children and eight grandchildren. I am fond of wombats, hence the name grampawombat.
When I saw the list of religious choices, I didn't see Protestant, so I put "other." I am not particularly impressed with a list that does not include that but includes Catholic. Does that mean that Beliefnet does not think that Catholics are Christians? I have to wonder.
My statement of faith from the old format: God is coming into being; a present hope and a future reality. God interacts with the universe and particularly with humans, and together they will become the God that most folks believe exists now. Then we will all be re-created, and will each know the effect our life has had on others. We will be confronted with the injustices and destruction we have caused or allowed to happen. Therefore, the highest human calling now is the pursuit of peace and justice.
I could not get the tagline explanation to come up so I have left it blank.

That's an interesting point about the Christian/Catholic thing.
