About Me
I'm a forklift driver and labourer who is studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology. My undergraduate majors were psychology and philosophy.
I was raised in both the Pentecostal Christian and Catholic traditions, and have admired the Quakers from a young age. For all practical intents and purposes I'm an atheist - I don't pray to any Supreme Being - but I do believe in an underlying logic of the universe such as might be captured by the word "Tao."
My Belief-O-Matic Results are:
| 1. | Secular Humanism (100%) |
| 2. | Unitarian Universalism (95%) |
| 3. | Liberal Quakers (87%) |
| 4. | Theravada Buddhism (84%) |
| 5. | Nontheist (82%) |
| 6. | Taoism (75%) |
| 7. | Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (73%) |
| 8. | Neo-Pagan (69%) |
| 9. | Mahayana Buddhism (63%) |
| 10. | Orthodox Quaker (63%) |
These results are probably about right, but i don't know how Theravada Buddhism snuck into the Top 5!
I like the sound of "earth-based" in the Beliefnet Faiths & practices section. After all, I'm not Pluto-based!
