Hello, my name here is Gentle Blue Rain and I am a simple Christian.  I gew up in the Methodist Church, then wandered through several other Christian churchs, but now find myself back at the church where I grew up - when my married daughters both found their way, to my  old church.  I have followed them back, and I feel like "I have come home."  I will most likely stay here, the rest of my life.  I love my old church, and it is a recognized historical site, in the state - so you can only imagine how beautiful those stained glass windows are - which I took for granted as a kid.  Now I look up at them in AWE!!! :)

I work as clerical staff at a small university, and I love my job, and the people who work with me.  I have 2 daughters, and 5 grandkids that I absolutely ADORE!!!  :) :) :) :) :) - they are the "loves of my life now."  I also have an 86 yr old mother, that I just recently had to put in a nursing home - because I had no one to help me care for her and I couldn't quit my job, so I was left with no other choice.  She is actually better off, now I just have to adjust to not having her at home - and figure out how I am going to pay all the bills ???  And that worries me !!!!!!

 I have a BS degree and hours on an MS, but have not found the time to finish that 2nd degree.  I am into Dog Rescue (but have some cats that were dumped at my place too. )  I spend endless hours, caring for my rescued animals, and the love they give back, is one of the most precious things in my life.  I love them all SOOOO MUCH.  Each has their own personality - I have a special bond with each and every one of them, and I look forward to going home to them at night after work.

I struggle each day, trying to become a better Christian, a better daughter,a better Mom & Grandma - and it's hard.  BUT I know I need to look up to GOD and keep asking for help, and maybe I will start to "DO BETTER."  I pray for this continually.  I love to also pray for others in need, even if it is just a small - several second prayer, it could mean a lot, to someone!!!!

I just decided today, I am going to make Bliefnet my Home Page - and maybe it will help me get back "on track" - I desperately NEED TO GET BACK ON THE RIGHT TRACK - back to going to church every Sunday, like when I was a kid.  And that secure feeling that GOD & JESUS are alaways with me.  Recent cirecumstances, have left me frustrated and worried, I just need to FOCUS on the "Right Stuff again."
