About Me
Hello there,
I have joined this community to listen and learn from others in an interfaith setting. I am a western orthodox celtic christian. In the short form that means I follow a tradition that goes back to when christianity first reached Ireland and co-existed in harmony with the traditions that existed there already. This christianity came from Antioch in Syria and Alexandria in Egypt and was centered in monasteries, it was not very successful until Patrick came. He fused Irish traditions with christian and created a new form not centered in Rome. If you are interested in learning more, please read Thomas Cahill's, "How the Irish Saved Civilization" or look in Wikipedia under "Stowe Missal or Lorrha Missal" or visit the St. Brendan's Celtic Orthodox website. Please feel free to ask me questions, but understand I will ask you questions in return.
