Hello!

When a link to BeliefNet appeared (effortlessly) on my computer I felt honored to join this group! I've wanted to meet other people who want to discuss A Course in Miracles for years. I've also wondered what type of people are drawn to this mode of thinking and learning.

But after getting familiar with this site I finally figured out that it's an interfaith community (duh, I know) and not exclusively A Course in Miracles site. Which suprised me because I didn't know how cleaver the ads one finds on their mail space can be in adding your harvested data into their advertisements!

My initial impression aside, I am here to stay!

I discovered A Course in Miracles in 1994 and read it almost daily. The Course has made all the difference in my life and answered questions I've wondered about since childhood that no one else could.

Reading the text shows me what it must have been like to hear Christ speak and why multitudes of people followed him. I was always disappointed that Christ didn't write anything himself and his teaching was left vulnerable to unenlightened interpretations which never seemed to satisfy.

Reading the Course has not only made me laugh out loud at myself, but also given me the tools I need to transform myself into the loving person I've always wanted to be. My disappointment and pain have evaporated along with my identification with ego. And I wonder why it isn't more popular--of course, I've lived in Alaska for the last 18 years which may be influencing my view of things.

So when this site appeared (effortlessly) on my computer I was thrilled and grateful to join this group. For years I've wanted to meet other people who want to discuss the Course (as I'm sure my kids did too!).
