More About Me
My Tagline:
overcommitted - but working on it
My Interests:
Interfaith issues, Charity, Biblical archaeology, History, Books, Gardening, photography
My Favorite Books, Authors, Musicians, Movies, Preachers, TV shows, etc:
I read hundreds of books annually - too many to list and too hard to rank.
Yes, really (I was asked). Two per week is over a hundred a year, and I average more than two per week.
Who Inspires Me:
I'll have to think about that.
My organizations and affiliations:
USCJ, Geological Society of America, Society of Economic Geologists, and (more recently) AARP (good grief)
My favorite spiritual activities:
Torah study, theology, arguing - is arguing a spiritual activity if it's over Torah?
more seriously - walking in my mountains.
What is your current spiritual mood?:
Joyful
What's your spiritual type?:
Questioning Believer - I have doubts about the particulars but not the Big Stuff.
About Me
Hi friends - it appears I've been a member here for seven years, which seems remarkable. I hang out on the Judaism boards, mainly. The local Jewish community is very small, but the online community is large.
What else?
Well - married twenty plus years. Three children, one in college and two in high school. One dog (elderly terrier). Work full time. Volunteer part time. Clean house as little as possible. I like to hike. I read compulsively and voraciously. I like being other places but I don't much like the intervening (but necessary) travel. My husband would like us to take a cruise. What kind of vacation is that!? All travel and no destination! No thanks!
Casual hiker, casual birdwatcher, casual gardener, casual photographer. I used to be a soccer mom, but the kids grew up, got involved in other activities and then they started learning to drive.
Please browse my photos, and tell me what you think! They are all my own, and I like to show them off.
