About Me
My name is Brandon Stewart, I am 24 years old, and I currently live in Norwalk, Ohio. I am a Christian. I believe in the God who is three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus Christ, who was wholly man and wholly God, who was born of the virgin Mary, came to this earth, lived a perfect and sinless life, and then died on a cross to bear the sins of His people, and after three days rose from the grave. I am a Protestant. I believe that we are made just before God through faith alone, by God's grace alone, on account of the sacrifice of Christ alone. I believe that the Bible is God's Word, written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it is our only infallible rule of faith and practice. I believe that God calls us to live our lives for His glory alone. I am Reformed. I believe that humanity (including myself) is so dead in our sins that we cannot contribute anything to our salvation. I believe that God raises us to life, and frees us from the bondage of our sin so that we freely respond to Him in faith, and become followers of Christ. I am a Baptist. I believe that each person has the freedom to choose God for themselves, and because of this, I do not believe in infant baptism, I believe that because each individual has a right to choose God for themselves, that each one must make the choice to be baptized. I believe that each believer has the right to interpret Scripture for himself or herself. I believe that the state should not interfere with the church. I believe that each believer is a priest and that we all care for each other and are in this together, and finally, I believe that each local church is free to make its own decisions on matters of faith and practice. I believe in freedom. That is my statement of faith. A bit more about me: I am a slightly sarcastic somewhat cynical native of Norwalk, Ohio. I am fighting my cynicism but it is still there. I am part of an awesome community of believers in Norwalk who strengthen me and help to guide me in life, and I have great friends both inside and outside of that group. I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and laughing in all forms. I love to take walks on trails in the woods, I also love to read. |
